We are trying to "go the Good Life". It probably won't surprise anyone that knows us thats for sure! We have planted (well Shaun planted I did a bit of raking and put some seeds in holes when Moll was asleep!) our veg - french beans, broad beans, spinach, peas, and some other stuff I can't remember (some in trays!). Can't wait for it all to start coming up!
Next year we will "do" our own chickens too. Did you know that even if you buy organic chicken it still gets bumped off in the same plant as the disease ridden stuff and dipped into the same hot water as all the other chickens???? Yuk. So we want to do our own. Well, Shaun will have to do the nasty bit! I'm too chicken (groan!)
Other than that, tomorrow I get my first "organic veg and fruit box" delivered! Works out about the same price and its as local as it can be. Cool!
God life is very humdrum other than that. Its just waiting about for Moll really. Daisy joined Rainbows last week which is very sweet and she enjoys it very much! Its like pre-Brownies. She will still be riding too which is good. Since the weather has been better I haven't seen her for dust! Out riding her bike, or working with Daddy or Grampy or just bumming about outside here and there. Everything that I wanted for her.
The school is improving too. FINALLY they are installing electric gates which is BRILL. (Dids got locked outside in the playground (not secure) which was scary. So now the kids can't get out and no-one can get in without permission. About time too!!! Her teacher is back on form and they are learning well. Altogether I am happier about her schooling and don't have to worry anymore. Well, for the time being anyway!
We are still thinking about a move to the West Country. Obviously we can't do anything until Moll is "cooked" and stable but then, lookout! I think it would be good for all of us. Mum has also been thinking of moving for ages - anywhere from Norfolk, France, Gloucestershire etc. Now we are thinking of West Country she is too which would be brilliant. I would love us all to go there together. The Hospital say they will still treat Moll even if we live down there so thats good too. Hopefully we won't have to make the trip too often.
Shaun has struck out on his own now - he is doing the Handyman thing which he loves. To quote "Small building work, gardening, property maintenance, incomplete diy projects, clearance (house, garage, shed etc)". We want to do the clearance and re-sell thing cos we love it!!!
