The Weekend Good Life

Not a bad day today - if hectic. Got up at dawn (thanks Moll) and then got up and ready to get to the Farmers Market in Horsham. I like to be there about 8.30 but it was lashing down with rain so we hung on!

The market was good. Only one of each type there, but the veggy man was great. Bought, for the grand sum of £7 - purple sprouting brocolli (yum!), 2 cucumbers, bag tomatoes (v nice!), 3 onions (bit wet, was raining), celery, 4 jonagold apples, 1 big bag cox apples, 1 parsnip, er, 1 small cauliflower, 1 bag "big" carrots, 1 large bunch of carrots (new ones, lovely!). then I went to M&S (cop out!) and bought an iceberg lettuce cos I am addicted to them.

Tipped the buggy up once (it was really heavy - Moll really needs to put on some weight). Bought the kids cheese straws, ate one (ARGH!!!). Bought Moll a birthday present (she wouldn't let it go - I had absolutely no choice).

Got back with loads of time (managed to get back to the car park pay machine 2 mins before the next price hike - result! (I always get stuffed up by getting there 2 minutes after)). Then everything ground to a halt. Put Moll down for a nap, ate lunch with Daisy and watched Spiderman (ffwd the nasty bits!! ). Moll woke up. THEN - 2 haircuts turned up that I had forgotton about. So I am £15 richer, but the house is still a TIP.................

ah well. If the dirt on the kitchen floor gets much deeper at least I can grow my veggies indoor.......
